The Authors / the Foodstylist / the Photographer

JOHANN LAFER – Johann Lafer was born 1957 in the Steiermark (Austria), he was educated to be a cook in Graz. Later he spent years in Berlin and Hamburg, cooking for Josef Viehauser and Wertheim-Bettingen. In Munich he worked for Eckart Witzigmann and in Paris for Gaston Lenôtre. Starting in 1983 Lafer became chef-cook in the “Val d’Or” in Guldental, that he later took over with his wife Silvia and untill today carries one Guide Michelin star and 16 Gault Millau points. His second restaurant on the Stromburg, the “Bistro d´Or” has been awarded 14 points. Johann Lafer has been awarded numerous prizes and honors and is the author of several cookbooks.

 

HORST LICHTER  – Born in 1962 Horst Lichter as a 14 year old began an education to become a chef. After working numerous stations as a cook he then opened his first restaurant “Oldiethek”, and Lichter began his TV carrier. In addition to “Lafer! Lichter! Lecker!” he is also the host of “Die Küchenschlacht“ and is a regular on various cooking shows. Since 2013 he also stars in “Bares für Rares“. Over the year’s, Lichter has received numerous awards, including the Golden Camera in 2014 as Germanys best TV cook.
Hubertus Tzschirner / FOOD STYLIST (oJ) – Since the beginning of 2010, Hubertus Tzschirner presents his workshops and seminars on fairs around the world, revolving around the main topic of his Innovative Cuisine – “Sous-Vide”. From identifying the processes, to the implementation of new techniques into old cooking procedures, Hubertus Tzschirner  teaches master cooks and chefs a new definition of culinary indulgence and taste in his courses.
DANIEL ESSWEIN  – Daniel is responsible for the food-photography on numerous cookbooks. Apart from 4 GAD Gold-medals he has won the „Gourmand World Cookbook Award“ for the best cookbook photography in Germany twice and in 2015 he was on the “Gourmand” short list for the worlds best cookbook photography.
Apart from that, Daniel works as a photographer for the food industry, food trade, gastronomy as well as for various magazines.
